Day #9 and I'm a BELIEVER

OK let's be honest. We all have to believe in something, right? For so many years, I have absolutely REFUSED to believe that eating right and exercising was the only thing that would get the weight off and keep it off. I thought there was some "trick", some SECRET that I wasn't privy to. Well.....honestly! I was wrong. DEAD WRONG.

This is DAY #9 OF NO EXERCISE. Laying around the house. Eating junk, especially junk that is EASY. Well guess what! I feel awful. I'm bloated. I've had too many Diet Cokes. Not enough water. Chocolate chip cookies. Pasta. A few salads thrown in for good measure. A few Activia yogurts. But mainly bad stuff and no movement. Hopefully in a few days I will be well enough to get back on the program.

The hardest part is always picking yourself up and starting over again!!! Bad habits are so easy to form, and so hard to break! When you feel discouraged, how do you pick it up again? Is it the motivation of a new piece of clothing? The admiration of a loved one when they compliment your weight loss? Talk to me, I now know for 100% SURE that the diet and exercise work, and they make you feel good about yourself.

  1. I feel the same way, and I was gonna wait to give you this book the next time I see you, but I can't help myself! Lori, of all people, Savannah made me read this book, and in one day, it has really changed my life, I have really jumped on this bandwagon of realizing the CRAP that I put into my body! This book is called Skinny Bitch, go get it if you have not read it! OH my Goodness!! It is an in your face look at what we eat!! Here is a passage from this book, I am even making notes in this book! I read it in one night!!!! Thank you to Savannah!! This was on Monday!.... The author writes, and btw, the author has notes all along this book to back up everything she goes......"Sugar is the devil! If you don't excersice the demon from your diet, you will never be a skinny bitch. Take a look around your kitchen and see the evil lurking. Sugar is like crack and food manufactorers know it. Sugar filters are commonly made of charred animal bones. So, cokes, and other sugary drinks give our bodies too much acid, even coffee, it makes us prone to illness like skin problems, allergies, headaches, colds, or yeast infections, trauma to the thyroid gland, liver, and adrenal glands. And guess where all this fat stored that you are putting into your body ends up? On your ass! And before you say well I drink diet coke, let us tell you something! Aspartame and splenda has been blamed for a slew of maladies, like birth defects, arthritis, fibromyalgia, alzheimers, luups, ms, and diabetes! When artificial sweetners enter your body, it turns into formaldehyde. Formaldehyde is toxic and carcinogenic (cancer causing) Laboratory scientistss use formaldehyde as a disinfectant and a preservative. They don't fucking drink it. Perhaps you have a lumpy ass because you are preserving in with your fat cells with diet soda." ............Girl this book is full of stuff like this and it is the most informative read, and so funny, and so in your face about our own fat issues, I think you would love it, I am going to buy serveral copies for friends, who like me are battling fat! I hope you are feeling better and girl, you can do it, when you are stuck at home and can't move, we can eat right!!
